This calendar is published by the Wyoming State Museum in cooperation with the Wyoming State Historical Society. Edited by Mark Junge. ![]() The 1993 World War II 50 Years Calendar commemorated the epochal event of World War II, emphasizing especially Wyoming's efforts and status in the 1940's. Editor Mark Junge detailed the impact of World War II on the world and Wyoming. As Junge said, "December 7, 1941. Everything changed early that morning." Junge mentions in his commentary the contributions of the Japanese/Americans whose families were confined to concentration camps, such as that at Heart Mountain, in northwestern Wyoming. Mention is made of Dr. T.A. Larson's book, Wyoming's War Years, which labeled Wyoming's response as patriotic. ![]() All of the photographs depict scenes of Wyoming's war efforts or of scenes from the war itself. Each daily entry has script that tells of some World War II event that happened on that day. For instance, the June 20th script tells of the "Wyoming marine pilot who set a new record for downing enemy planes at night (1945)." about previous Wyoming Historical Calendars:
