Kemmerer is the site of the first J.C. Penneys store in the United States. Penney's original homestead is fully furnished with period items, including a cradle and christening gown used by his children. The historical foundation has historic photographs.
HOURS:
May to September:
Mon - Sat, 9:00 am to 6:00 pm
Sun 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm
ADMISSION: Free; donations accepted.
