Pioneer Trails Landscapes by Ryan Bench
Ryan Bench, University of Wyoming art graduate, painted six landscape scenes from along the Oregon Trail in Wyoming. Having received a grant from the University of Wyoming American Heritage Center, Bench painted Pioneer Trails Landscapes based on the American Heritage Center's Paul and Helen Anderson Oregon Trail Papers and Bench's travels along the Oregon Trail in Wyoming during 2002.

The images are derived from high-resolution TIFF files that were scanned from 35 mm slides using a Nikon Cool Scan LS 8000 by Dave Miles Photography. PLEASE NOTE: Due to additional digital processing and variations in personal computer displays the images do not necessarily show the true colors and quality of the original paintings.
