“Afar & Below: The Story of the Wyoming Trona Miners” World Premiere

Wyoming PBS invites you to the world premiere of our new original documentary, AFAR & BELOW: THE STORY OF THE WYOMING TRONA MINERS, on October 28th at the Broadway Theater in Rock Springs.  

Jon us starting at 5:30 pm for refreshments and conversation with your neighbors, the film makers Mark Pedri and Carrie McCarthy of Burning Torch Productions, community members featured in the film, and the Wyoming PBS crew.  The screening will begin at 6 pm, followed by panel discussion led by Pedri. 

ABOUT THE FILM

The trona industry is deeply woven into Wyoming’s culture, yet teh story of the miners who keep this massive industry running remains untold.  During a day in their life underground, we dig into the community, culture, and the history fo these subterranean cities - and their impact on our lives on back on the surface.
