Executive Director
I am passionate about combining my love for Wyoming and its rich history with my skills in marketing, event planning, and project management to cultivate enthusiastic, lifelong supporters and advance the Wyoming Historical Society. As a Wyoming native, lifelong history enthusiast, and experienced professional in marketing and nonprofits, I am excited by the opportunity to connect with communities, honor our traditions, and revitalize the Society to prepare it for the future while preserving our past. This position feels like the perfect fit, aligning with my experiences and aspirations to serve as the Executive Director and help the Society thrive for generations to come.
Alexandra Philp is a graduate of the University of Wyoming with a BS in Marketing, a BS in Economics and minors in Graphic Design and International Business. She always makes time to support local philanthropic endeavors and organizations; her passions leading her to be an advocate for literacy, voter education, and the arts. Throughout her 20+ year career, Philp has had professional experience in non-profits, tourism and hospitality, and owning her own small business and consulting firm.
