The recipients of the 2004 Wyoming Historical Society Lola Homsher Award have been announced. Nine applicants submitted requests. Only $2,500 is funding is available this year. This year four applicants received funding to be used for Wyoming-related historical research. Those individuals were :
- 1. Richard Adams Of Laramie Wyoming for Continuing Soapstone research in memory of J.D. Love, Teton Mountains, Wyoming
- 2. Elizabet de Vallee of the Wyoming Historic Governors Mansion in Cheyenne, WY for First Family Oral History Interview series
- 3. Tom Rea of Casper, WY for researching the middle of nowhere – history and meaning of the lower Sweetwater valley.
- 4. Chavawn Kelly of Laramie, WY Sharp Nose biographical project on the last chief of the Arapaho tribe
